Kratos' and Atreus' 2018 adventure in God of War will make its way to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store early next year on January 14, 2022, Sony has announced. Rumors about God of War's PC release have swirled for quite a long while now. In fact, one leak from earlier this year claimed several other PS4 games would make the jump, including Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, and the Uncharted Collection. The latter proved partially true, since Sony recently confirmed Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy will hit PC in 2022 as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

PlayStation as a brand has made its interest in the PC market very clear over the last 12 months and change. Last summer saw the publisher drop Horizon: Forbidden West on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, for instance. And since Sony logged a 250 percent return on that particular investment, there's no need to question why more PlayStation titles are migrating elsewhere.

God of War (2018) counts as the latest PS4 heavy-hitter to receive a PC port. According to a PlayStation Blog post, the acclaimed adventure will release across the Epic Games Store and Steam on January 14, 2022, complete with DualSense and DualShock 4 support. PC players can also expect the new version to pack in several graphical and performance enhancements, along with 21:9 ultra-widescreen support.
