Hot Wheels Unleashed is set to receive a wealth of DC-Comics-related DLC content this winter, including playable vehicles and courses based on classic characters like Batman, Robin, Catwoman, and Bane. The latest Hot Wheels tie-in game already sped onto current-generation consoles last month, but developer Milestone has promised that the fast-paced fun will continue through a steady wave of additional DLC cars and racetracks.

The DLC roadmap for Hot Wheels Unleashed indicates that new vehicles will be coming to the game in at least three upcoming batches, with the final result being over 66 collectible cars for players to unlock and race across an assortment of customizable Hot Wheels tracks. Among this list of DLC vehicles are several iconic cars from movies, television, and comic books - like the time-traveling DeLorean from Back To The Future, the Party Wagon of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame, and Batman’s classic Batmobile. As it turns out, Hot Wheels Unleashed isn't stopping at the Dark Knight's famous ride for DC-based excitement, as a wide assortment of Batman's equally iconic supporting cast and rogue's gallery will be joining the Hot Wheels racing circuit later this year.

Earlier today, Milestone Team’s official YouTube channel posted a trailer for the Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion, which is set to release on December 2. This DLC expansion pack includes five Gotham-themed vehicles: Armored Batman, Batman Rebirth, The Penguin, Robin 2.0T, and The Joker GT. There will also be a new race track modeled after the Batcave, a funhouse-style Track Builder Module dubbed “the Joker Funhouse Split” that can knock unsuspecting racers off the course, and plenty of other Batman-themed customization items.

The DC fun doesn’t stop there, as Milestone Team also posted a trailer for the Hot Wheels Unleashed DC Super-Villains Racing Season, an event that will run from November 11 to January 18. During this time, players will be able to complete in-game racing challenges to unlock extra content - including six sinister new vehicles modeled after infamous DC villains Bane, The Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Black Manta, Deathstroke, and Harley Quinn. There will also be new customization items for the Basement and the Player Profile and free gears and coins for everyone who participates.

DC Comics has been on a role with video game content recently, both in the form of cross-promotional tie-ins with established titles or standalone games centered around the brand’s massive stable of legendary heroes and villains. Earlier this week, Fortnite added the terrifying Batman Who Laughs to its growing list of DC guest characters, and Saturday’s DC Fandome provided a closer look at WB Montreal’s Gotham Knights and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

In this spirit, the game is set to build on its collection of 66 playable Hot Wheels Unleashed toy cars with these upcoming DLC expansion packs, which feature a variety of beloved characters and locations from across the DC Comics universe. Players will be able to tear through the plastic orange tracks of Hot Wheels Unleased as Bane or Harley Quinn when the DC Super-Villains Racing Season begins on November 11, then climb behind the wheel of the Batmobile when the Batman Expansion launches on December 2.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
